À travers des chapitres de halakha et de réflexion, l'ouvrage examine s'il est permis d'épouser une femme divorcée par la voie du rabbinat, et s'il existe une réelle différence entre un guet donné sous coercition manifeste et un guet donné « par consentement » mais sous pression dissimulée.
